Jessie Hartland is a New York City-based commercial artist and writer and illustrator of children's books. Among her picture books for children are 'How the Dinosaur got to the Museum', 'Bon Appetit: the Delicious Life of Julia Child' and 'How the Meteorite got to the Museum'. In 2015 she released 'Steve Jobs: Insanely Great!', a graphic biography of the Apple founder, through Penguin Random House and Schwartz & Wade Books.
Hartland's drawings have also appeared in magazines and newspapers like The New York Times, Travel and Leisure Family, Martha Stewart Kids, Bon Appetit, and Fit Pregnancy, and on commercial outings of Target, Swatch, Fodor's and Solaris Hong Kong. She has furthermore painted murals at a Japanese amusement park and designed Christmas windows for Bloomingdale's.
