Morchedi, by Hatem Fathy

Hatem Fathy has been interested in comics since he was a kid. He used to make a one issue magazine at school and studied fine arts. He also had some experiments with animation, storyboards and magazine illustrations. His first comics to be published were in the egyptian magazine for children Aladdin. Then, he started publishing in other magazines and became a free lance artis. He has contributed to some comics magazines from the Arabic world and the Middle-East, including Egypt like Samir, Toot, Gernas, 8x8 and Qkids, besides some web-comics. With Ahmad Alaidy, he was the the co-creator of a popular comic strips in the Al-dostoor newspaper in the first half of 2006. The main character is a young boy named 'Morchedi'. Fathy is a regular contributor to Basem and Good News Cinema.
