Texas Chainsaw Massacre, art by Daniel HDR
Daniel HDR was born Daniel Horn de Rosa in Porto Alegre. He began his career as a comic artist at the age of 14 in 1988. Among his early clients were publishers like Press Editora, D'Arte and Ondas. He soon found his way to the US comic market through jobs for Marvel and Dark Horse, while also contributing to Brazilian publishers like JBC Editora, Editora Abril, Mythos Editora and Brainstorm.
He illustrated stories for comic books based on the 'Megaman' franchise of video games for Magnum Editora in 1996. In 2000, he developed the official manga adaptation of the animated series 'Digimon'. He also did concept art for Marvel's 'Mangaverse' comic book in 2002. For Avatar Press, he has worked on 'Texas Chainsaw Massacre - The Grind', 'Medieval Lady Death' and 'Classic Lady Death'.
Daniel became the official artist of 'X-Men Forever', written by Chris Claremont, in April 2010. In December of that same year, he started drawing for the DC Comics titles 'Legion of Super-Heroes', 'Wonder Woman' and 'REBELS'. In 2011, Daniel HDR and Dinamo Studio produced the graphic novel 'Retro City - Almanaque 1939', a tribute to the superheroes from the Golden Age of Comic Books, published by Editora HQM. Daniel is also an art teacher.
