'La Contessa'.
After finishing his exams, Hervé Nau (Herval) moved from his native Rouen to Paris to study Modern Literature. He did his first artwork through a communication agency called Anaconda, where he was modelmaker, roughman and artistic director. He also joined an artists' collective called BD Clip, where he teamed up with Jean-Luc Belin to create the children's comic 'Captain Pirate' (2000) for Nucléa.
Afterwards he and Erroc made 'Drôles de Pin-Up' (Bamboo, 2005), a series of humorous pin-up illustrations, before working with Yann on the series about weapon master 'Tiffany' (two books for Delcourt in 2006-2007). He made the humour comic 'Marny' with Axelle Laffont for Hugo BD in 2009 and started the thriller series 'La Contessa' with Crisse for Drugstore in 2011.
