Bjarni Hinriksson was born in Reykjavik and studied comics at the Art Academy of Angoulême, France between 1985 and 1989. Since then, he works as graphic designer for the Icelandic television news broadcast and as an illustrator for several magazines. In 2003, he published his debut comics album 'Stafraenar Fjadir'. He is co-founder of the comic fanzine Gisp!, of which 9 issues appeared. Together with his wife Dana Jónsson, he made the newspaper strip 'Krassandi Samvera'. In France, he participated in the anthologies 'Les Enfants du Nil' and 'Ego Comme X' and in Sweden with the anthology 'Allt för Konsten'.
