'Half Hitch'.

Dick Hodgins Jr. was an American comic strip artist and political cartoonist. He was born in Binghamton, New York, as the son of Orlando Sentinel cartoonist Dick Hodgins Sr. He attended the School of Visual Arts and then fulfilled his military service, during which he edited a base newspaper in Osaka, Japan and contributed to Stars & Stripes magazine.

Back in civil life, he went to work in the educational film industry, and also made illustrations for news stories through the Associated Press. He was hired by Hank Ketcham to draw his comic strip 'Half Hitch' for King Features Syndicate between 1970 and 1975.

He has made editorial cartoons for the New York Daily News and several Connecticut newspaper. Hodgins worked on the daily 'Henry' comic between 1983 and 1995, and served as the inker on Dik Browne's comic strip 'Hagar the Horrible' from 1995 on.
