Chroniques de la nuit des temps
André Houot studied Fine Arts in Nancy and worked as a teacher in La Meuse afterwards. It wasn't until 1987 that first made his mark in the field of comics, when Fleurus published the first installment of the series 'Chroniques de la nuit des temps'. Three books were subsequently published by Lombard, and Glénat released the fifth and final episode in 1994. Houot got the aid of several specialists in archaeology and prehistory for the documentation of this historical series.
Septentryon
For Soleil Publishers, he teamed up with scenarist Simon Rocca in 1995 to start 'Le Khan', a series set in the Mongolian deserts in the 13th Century. The series was published in five books until 1999. Houot created 'Septentryon', a series he wrote and drew for Glénat from 2003 to 2006. This was followed by the more fantasy-oriented 'Le Mal', a series of three books in cooperation with scriptwriter Py. Glénat published Houot's comic about the Pied Piper of Hamelin in 2012.
