Yeh Hung-chia

Yeh Hung-chia is considered the giant of Taiwan's golden era of cartooning in the 1950s, although he did not gain widespread popularity until 1958. During the 1940s, Yeh sneered at Taiwan's social conditions in political cartoons, but quit doing them in 1947. Yeh's Big break came when he created 'Chuko Szu-lang'. His career nosedived after 1960, when the government began looking at his work less favorably. A car accident in 1974 left him handicapped.
