Sergio Ibañez came to attention in the 1980s, when he worked on series like 'El Cosaco', 'Wolf' and 'Mark' for Editorial Columba. He made several popular miniseries with Ricardo Ferrari, including 'Dimitre', 'Cosme' and 'Milonga'. In later years, he contributed to La Nación and La Bestia, and published independent comic 'Mikilo' with Rafael Curci, Tomás Cogiola and his brother-in-law Marcelo Basile. Ibañez was the artist of the three final episodes of the classic Argentinian series 'Nippur de Lagash' in 1998.
