Ganske Vist, by Lars Jakobsen

After Lars Jakobsen had to close his advertising agency in 1988, he devoted himself to making comics. He started the series 'Mortensens Mondæne Meritter' ('Mortensen's Fashionable Escapades') about the time detective Mortensen. In addition to Mortensen, Lars Jakobsen started working with Lasse Bo Andersen as a scriptwriter for the Danish Anders And & Co.

He is best known for his series 'Ganske Vist' ('Feather Tales'), a strip about life in a chicken yard, published in Jyllands-Posten. In 1996, two animated shorts about the chickens were produced for German TV. Jakobsen has also tried his hand at filmmaking. His 1993 documentary 'Livsbilleder' was nominated at the Institute of Film Short Film Festival. He has also made a short feature, as well as a biography about the artist Mik, the creator of 'Ferd'nand', and a film book about Fyrtårnet and Bivognen.
