'Mumin', by Lars Jansson.

Lars Jansson is the younger brother of Tove Jansson. Lars worked as a freelance writer and artist before joining his sister in producing the extraordinary 'Mumin' comic strip, that appeared in the Evening News in London. In 1958, Lars was assigned by his sister to do the writing of the Mumin stories. In 1959, he also started drawing the strip and continued doing so until 1974.

When Lars took over the strip, nobody knew the difference. Free to do what he wanted on the strip, Lars Jansson always ended up doing 'Mumin' the way Tove Jansson would have continued it. The essential message of the 'Mumin' strip is that people should be kind to each other. In 1965, Lars Jansson drew his own strip, 'Sophia', in Jaana.
