Malcolm Jones III attended the High School of Art and Design and then the Pratt Institute before making his comics debut in the pages of the DC comic book 'Young All Stars' in 1987-88. In the late 1980s and early 1990s, Jones was working as an inker on DC titles like 'The Question', 'Batman', 'Justice League of America', 'Hellblazer' and 'Green Arrow'. He also pencilled and inked 'Coldblood' # 7, and drew Marvel's 'Spider-Man'. He is probably best known for his line and texture work on the DC/Vertigo series 'Sandman', for Neil Gaiman between 1989 and 1991. He took his own life in 1996.
