Janis Kalaitzis (also spelled as 'Yannis Kalaitzis') was a Greek political cartoonist. He began working for the communist newspaper Avgi and the student magazine Panspoedastiki in the early 1980s. He has done illustrations for children's books, designed costumes and storyboards for films. He was a regular contributor to magazines like Anti, Defi and the socialist daily El Elefteroptipia. His first comic book was 'Gypsy Orchestra', published in 1984.
He died from cancer in 2016.
