Kyojin no Hoshi
Noboru Kawasaki is the artist of the sports manga serial 'Kyojin no Hoshi' ('Star of the Giants') that began publication in Shonen Magazine in 1966. The writer is Ikki Kajiwara, and the serial was adapted into the first sports anime television series in 1968. Other magas by Kawasaki are 'Animal 1' (1969), 'Inakabbe Taisho' and 'Football Hawk' (1978).
In the 1970s two of his manga, 'Inakappe TaishÅ' and 'Tentomushi no Uta' ('The Song of Tentomushi') were each adapted into anime TV series by Tatsuo, Kenji and Toyoharu Yoshida's company Tatsunoko Productions.
