Jim Keefe is a comic artist best known for his work with King Features Syndicate. Disappointed in the art courses he took in his hometown Minnesota, Keefe went to the Joe Kubert School of Cartoon and Graphic Art in Dover. After his graduation in 1989, he got a job as a head colorist of features like 'Blondie', 'Beetle Bailey' and 'Hägar the Horrible' at King Features. He additionally contributed artwork, such as ghosting the 'Secret Agent Corrigan' ('Secret Agent X-9') comic. Between 1996 and 2003, Keefe was the artist of the 'Flash Gordon' Sunday comic, originally created by Alex Raymond. His work on the comic is still syndicated.
Keefe has worked on freelance assignments and the promotion of the National Cartoonists Society since leaving King Features. He has been busy developing a graphic novel about his father's military service during World War II. Since 2014, he is the artist of the 'Sally Forth' strip, written by Francesco Marciuliano.
Sally Forth
