Reamer Keller was a popular and extremely productive American cartoonist. Born Charles Reamer Keller in Virginia, the young artist had his first job with the the Compton Engraving & Printing Company in Portsmouth. He studied architecture in Cincinnati and Ohio and sold his first cartoons to papers like The Columbus Citizen and The Ohio State Journal.

Keller started selling gag cartoons to several New York-based magazines during the 1930s. Throughout his career, Keller produced about a thousand cartoons a year for magazines like College Humor, Collier's, Dude, Esquire, Forbes, Gee-Whiz, Judge, Liberty, Life, McCall's, The New Yorker, Pageant, Playboy, Reader's Digest, The Saturday Evening Post and This Week.

Popular features by him were 'Addle-Essence' for Family Weekly, 'Pedro' for Boy's Life and 'Kennesaw' in Collier's. The latter was also syndicated as a comic strip by the Chicago Tribune-New York News Syndicate between 1953 and 1955. His gag panel series 'Medicare' was syndicated by Field Enterprises from 1966 until 1975.
