Brian Kotzky is the son of comic artist Alex Kotzky, who created the newspaper comic 'Apartment 3-G' with psychiatrist Nicholas Dallis in 1961. He continued this soap opera comic after his father's death in 1996, together with writer Lisa Trusiani. He handed over the strip to veteran comic artist Frank Bolle in 2000 to become a teacher.
