'Ovela Piccolo'. 

Kati Kovàcs was born in 1963 in Helsinki, Finland. She studied at the University of Arts and Design in that city, after which she moved to Rome. She has published over 12 graphic novels that have been translated into Swedish, Hungarian, French and German. Her work is characterized by themes like longing for freedom and a hunger for life, and by an uplifting sensuality and warm, satirical humour.

Kovàcs' comics work includes titles such as 'Vihreä rapsodia' (1994), 'Karuselli' (1996), 'Miestennielijäksi sirkukseen' (2003) and 'Onnen lahjat' (2004, 2009), among many more. Her comics also appeared in Swedish and German, and have been published in magazines like Frigidaire, Lapin and Stripburger. Her work was been on display in several exhibitions and in 1999 won the Finnish Comics Society's Puupäähattu Award.
