Maki Kusumoto debuted in the popular comics weekly Margaret in 1984. She studied philosophy at the Ochanomizu University in Tokyo. She is well-known for her exquisite artwork and extraordinary stories. One of her best known works is 'Kissxxxx'. Other serials include 'T.V. Eye', 'K no Souretsu - The Funeral Procession of K' and 'Die Tödliche Dolis'. She lives in London.
