Daniel Lareau was the artist for an 86 strips story that was published in L'Action Catholique and in Le Petit Journal from 23 January 1949 to 8 October 1950. Although it is refered to by comic experts as 'Histoire du Canada', there was no formal title to the serie. Each strip was about important people of the French regime in Québec from 1534 to the conquest by the British in 1759 (Jacques-Cartier, Samuel de Champlain, Frontenac, Montcalm, etc.).
