Li Fan-fu, whose real name was Li Tak-chun, started his career in comics at the end of the 1920s, when he worked with Ye Yin-quan for comic magazine The Sketch, the first comic magazine in the city of Guangzhou. The most popular comics he created were 'Young Master' and 'Old Master Ho'. After the second World War, Li Fan-fu moved to Hong Kong, where he continued 'Young Master' for magazine Sing Bao and contributed to Manhua World.
