Fluffy by Simone Lia

Simone Lia is a London-based illustrator and comic strip artist. After studying at the University of Brighton, she went on to write and illustrate books for children, such as 'Billy Bean's Dream', 'Follow the Line' and 'Little Giant'. She became friends with Tom Gauld at the Royal College of Art and they began self-publishing comics as Cabanon Press in 2001.

Since then, she has set up an art studio in an old pub, written a couple of graphic novels, such as 'Fluffy' (Jonathan Cape, 2007) and 'Please God, Find Me A Husband!' (Jonathan Cape, 2012) and had sausages and other food related characters starring in their own strips in a number of publications, including The Independent on Sunday and The Guardian. Lia has a weekly comic strip called 'Things That I've Learned' in The Observer, and her strip 'Lucie' ran in The Phoenix. Simone Lia has had her artwork hanging on the walls of The Tate Britain, and she also regularly works and exhibits with Jealous Gallery.
