Davis Liljemark is a swedish comic artist, cartoonist, children's book illustrator, author, short film director and musician. Born in Karlstad and raised in Skåre, Värmland, he began his career in the Swedish fanzine circuit of the 1980s and 1990s. Contributions to several comics eventually led to the publication of his debut album 'Inte ett rätt' by Optimal Press in 1996. Since then, he has published several more books as well as several articles in anthologies, comic books, newspapers and the political press.
Liljemark's work contains elements like crazy humor, provocation, political satire, and autobiography. His more controversial comics have been published in magazines like Laban and Blondie (such as his series 'Susanna och Bo'), while his mainstream work was published in Svenska Serier, Pyton and MAD. He was also present in Galago with the historical chronicle 'Boltzius'. He has made cartoons for Dagens Nyheter, scripts for the children's magazine Bamse and illustrations and comic strips for the feminist magazine Bang. He is a musician with the Swedish band The Wonder Boys.
