Sweet Delice, by Loro

Jean-Marc Loro worked as a photographer and decorator, when he started making comics on the side. In 1968 he made two mini-books for Spirou and a year later, he joined the Pilote team. While making several comics and illutrations for this magazine, Loro became chief editor of the French editions of Creepy and Eerie. For Eerie, he also drew the comic 'Déboires d'Outre-Tombe', a humorous series, written by Serge de Becketch. Meanwhile, Loro introduced series like 'Thorkaël' and 'Abel Dopeulapeul' in Pilote. In addition, he contributed to magazines like Pif Gadget, B.D., Le Canard Sauvage, Phénix and Chic, while his work was also present in the press and television field. Loro left the comics profession in 1992 to devote all his time to his illustration assignments.

He was one of several artists to make a graphic contribution to ‘Pepperland’ (1980), a collective comic book tribute to the store Pepperland, to celebrate its 10th anniversary at the time.
