Jean-Luc Loyer was born in the north of France in 1964, and studied art at the School of Fine Arts in Angoulême. After graduation, he joined animation studio IDDH. He then turned to comics, and created the series 'Victor', which won him a prize in 1999. Other titles by Jean-Luc Loyer are 'La Boîte a 1 Franc' and 'Les Mangeurs de Cailloux'.
