Tipitón y su loro
Niko Luhrsen was a Cuban cartoonist and the creator of 'Tipitón y su loro'. The strip ran in the comics supplement of the newspaper Información in the late 1950s. The artist also worked for the satirical paper Zig-Zag, that took a stand against the Cuban Revolution. When the magazine closed its doors in May 1960, Luhrsen, just like future MAD contributor Antonio Prohias, fled the country and settled in the USA.
