'De Legende van De Vliegende Hollander'.
Piet van der Maaden was a Dutch painter, who worked mostly on watercolors and gouaches. Freemasonry was a recurring topic. He also designed promotional material like posters and maps for the KLM. The KLM also commissioned him to draw the comic story 'De Legende van de Vliegende Hollander'. It was written by Hans Kosman and published in book format by Boom-Ruygrok in Haarlem in 1948.
