Bruno Maïorana is a French comic book artist, born in Angoulême. He created his first fanzine while in high school, studied Fine Arts and began his career in the field of animation. Maïorana eventually did end up creating comics: he was the co-author of the popular and humorous French series 'Garulfo' with Alain Ayroles. Six books were published by Delcourt between 1994 and 2002. Maïorana and Ayroles resumed their collaboration for the fantasy series 'D' between 2009 and 2014. In May 2014, he announced his retirement from comics because of the lack of reward for working in the comic book industry.
