(generally written with the exclamation mark) has worked as a professional movie trailer editor, a volunteer search & rescue pilot, a freelance firearm specialist for film and television, and a picture framer, before turning to comics fulltime in 2009. He is director of Publicity & Promotions for TopatoCo, a website for artist-direct merchandising.

Malki publishes his 'Wondermark' comics online since 2003. He creates this comic from 19th-century woodcuts and engravings, but also from collections of magazines like Harper's, Frank Leslie's and Punch. It has also appeared in print, like in The Onion (2006-09) and in book collections by Dark Horse Comics.
