Khalou by Maurice Manesse
'Khalou Chez Les Cyclopes' (Fripounet #37, 13 September 1962). 

Maurice Manesse made his debut as a comic artist in Marijac's magazine Far-West with the series 'Tipy, Le Petit Indien' in 1957. He began a collaboration with Éditions Fleurus in the following year, where he contributed to Coeurs Vaillants (1958-1961), Ames Vaillantes (1959-1963) and most of all, Fripounet (1957-1963).

Among his series for Fripounet were 'Fred et l'Oncle Ted' (1960), 'Khalou, Le Pétit Phénicien' (1962), 'Luka, Le Pétit Lapon' (1963) and 'Gromile' (1971). Manesse has focused on painting since the early 1970s.
