Khalou chez les Cyclopes (Fripounet #37, 13 September 1962)
Maurice Manesse made his debut as a comic artist in Marijac's magazine Far-West with the series 'Tipy le petit indien' in 1957. He began a collaboration with Éditions Fleurus in the following year, where he contributed to Coeurs Vaillants (1958-61), Ames Vaillantes (1959-63) and most of all, Fripounet (1957-63).
Among his series for Fripounet were 'Fred et l'Oncle Ted' (1960), 'Khalou le petit Phénicien' (1962), 'Luka le petit Lapon' (1963) and 'Gromile' (1971). Manesse has focused on painting since the early 1970's.
