Joan Marín is a comic artist and photographer, based in Barcelona. Born in Valencia, he published his series 'Estrellats' in the local magazine Camacuc between 1999 in 2001. He also founded the collective 7 Monos with a couple of friends. Shortly after starting his studies in Fine Arts, he published his debut book 'Martin' at Dude Comics in 2000. Since 2007 he is specialized in photography and painting. After a hiatus from comics from 2004 to 2007, he published his graphic novel 'Olimpita', a collaboration with Hernán Migoya, at Norma in 2008. He has also worked with Migoya on his 2012 book 'Plagio' and on a couple of short stories for Nuevas Hazañas Bélicas and REC 0. He has also worked with Mireia Pérez on the works 'Romance' and 'Ultraradio', and with Santi Selvi on a contribution to 'Valentia', a book with comics about Valencia. He has furthermore published his work in several magazines, such as Camacuc, Ariadna, El Duende de Madrid and Etiqueta Negra.
