Mart Yuls is a Spanish cartoonist, specialized in graphic arts and comics. He works for a wide variety of national and international clients, including Warren films (Madrid), Kemi Souvenirs (London), Wummel Box (Berlin) and the Oxford University Press.
Life and career
Mart Yuls (a pseudonym) was born in 1981 in Reus, and began his professional career in 2000, drawing strips and cartoons for El Diario de Córdoba. In 2003 he became a collaborator of the magazine Todas las Novedades, illustrating articles and interviews. Shortly afterwards, Yuls took charge of the supplement Todas las Novedades del Comic, which has become the Spanish comics news magazine with the widest circulation. His short stories 'The Man Who Fell In Love With The Moon' and 'History Of A Story...' were published in the Slovenian comic anthology Stripburger (2004-2012).
Another notable work by Yuls is 'Harte', which ran in El Churro Ilustrado and was published by Non Stop! Comics in Barcelona in 2006. He additionally cooperated on series like 'Viva La Gente!' (El Batracio amarillo), 'Rebeka, The Heavy with Freckles' (MC ediciones), 'The Adventures of Spain' (Panini Comics) and 'Mundo Japi' (Panini Comics). His cartoons and drawings additionally appear in different types of media, including the newspaper El Mundo, monografico.net, Radio Ethiopia and Maltravieso del comic.
