Michael Martin is a British comic artist, based in France. He took over the 'Fred Basset' newspaper comic in the Daily Mail after the death of Alex Graham in the early 1990s. Martin continued the famous strip about the basset hound in the same fashion as its creator, in cooperation with Graham's daughter Arran Keith. After a couple of years, Martin put more of his own style in it, and more references to modern pop culture were made.
