ProTECTO
Matteo Alemanno is a graduate in architecture. He spent the first years of his professional career working in this profession for several agencies. He started working as a decorator in 1996, and worked for the Italian magazine Il Messaggero dei Ragazzi and he worked for the American publisher Boyds Mills Press in 1998. He specialized in historical illustrations, which he made for school books by publishing houses like Mondadori Scuoli, Carlo Signorelli Editore and Einaudi Ragazzi.
Mèche Rebelle
He had created his first comics in the magazine Schizzo in the 1990s, but it wasn't until 2003 that he created his first series with Zidrou for Spirou. Two stories of their adventure series 'Mèche Rebelle' were published in the magazine and subsequently collected in books by Dupuis, before the authors continued their collaboration with the fanatasy series 'ProTECTO' in 2006. Matteo has worked with Alcante on a story for the collective project 'Vampyres - Sable Noir' (Dupuis, 2009) and the graphic novel 'Les Gardiens des Enfers' (Glénat, 2010). In 2013 he teamed up with Zidrou for the historical series 'Marina' with Zidrou for Dargaud.
