Matyo made his comics debut in a fanzine. Soon afterwards, he created several strips for local newspapers. He also made several illustrations in the science fiction magazine Pour la Science and the juvenile magazines Les Clés de l'Actualité Junior and Les Aventuriers. He created 'P Comme Perso' at Pointe Noire in 2002. In 2004, he cooperated with Bast on 'Le Gardien du Tour' at Le Cycliste.
