Billy Mavreas is a Greek-Canadian artist living in Montreal whose mostly pantomime comics revolve around the themes of language, sexuality and spirituality. In 2001, Conundrum Press & Crunchy Comics published his collection of shorts entitled, 'The Overlords Of Glee'. This book, drawn in a myriad of styles, features trickster dieties in the guise of semi-cute, semi-sinister bunnies. Since 2004, he draws a quarterly strip for Ascent yoga magazine, called 'Tales From The Vase'. This pantomime strip features his first regular human character Boy Priest, a young ceremonial magician, and his 'cat', Lifeform.
