Spanish artist Juan B. Miguel was animator for the final Balet y Blay film, 'Sueños de Tay-Pi', in 1952. He worked as an agency artist and lived in France for a while. He drew for the girls' comic book Florita by Editorial Cliper in the 1950s. His work was also published in the French girls' magazine Lisette ('La Petite Elisa').
Miguel worked under a variety of pseudonyms, such as Jo Bapp, Jeu de Brie, J. Bata Miguel and Juan El Miguel. He returned to Spain to devote himself to painting and teaching - he was head of the Escuela de Artes y Oficios in Barcelona. For the Bruguera collection Joyas Literarias Juveniles, he has illustrated 'Trampa de Cactus' in 1975. He additionally drew 'Nico Falk, detective' in Chico (1975) and 'Banner y Flapi' for the publisher Fher (1979).
