Danny and his Magic Ring (Lucky Comics #8)
A former Disney artist, Vernon Miller was the creator of 'Iron Man', the first Canadian superhero. Not to be confused with the Marvel character, 'Iron Man' first appeared in Maple Leaf's Better Comics #1 (March 1941). Just like many superheroes of the time, 'Iron Man' fought the Nazis. The comic was the first to appear after the Canadian ban on US comics. Miller was also Maple Leaf's art editor, and additionally drew features like 'Danny and his Magic Ring' for Lucky Comics. He died in 1974 at age 62.
