André Moons got his artistic education at the Institut Saint-Luc in Brussels. He was a member of Claude Renard's infamous Atelier R, together with Berthet, Goossens, Cossu, Schuiten, and Sokal. He published his first work in the the atelier's own publication, Le Neuvième Rêve. In 1983, he was present in Spirou with 'L'OVNI d'Argenteuil' with text by Rivière and Peeters. His main focus became advertising and communication however. Moons released several albums for the communication field, such as 'L'Affaire Brueghel' and 'L'Iris de Bruoscela' for La Région de Bruxelles Capitale and 'Rendez-Vous' in cooperation with Bob De Moor for La Fédération des Entreprises Chimiques de Belgique. He also developed several characters for La Libre Belgique, La Dernière Heure, Loca-Vaisselle, Le Brussels Europa Hotel and Top Tools. Also active in the animation field, Moons has developed the children's series 'Moonkys' in cooperation with Patrice le Hodey.
