'Patrulla Atómica'.

José Morante was born in 1928 in Melilla and began his career drawing for the supplement Le Hora del Recreo of the newspaper Levante ('Aventuras de Colilla y su Pato Banderilla', 1955). Morante cooperated on several magazines of the publishing house Valenciana. He drew 'Platanín' in Pumby and 'Los Benito Tienen Coche' in Jaimito. When Valenciana came to times of crisis he joined Bruguera. Bruguera magazine Zipi y Zape started to publish his series 'Patrulla Atómica' in the early 1970s. Morante has also worked as an agency artist on foreign productions like 'Igloo', 'Tagada', 'Textone' and 'Johnny Pistel'.
