Les Remparts d'Écume, by Joël Mouclier

The style of the virtuoso Joël Mouclier is characterized by the subtle changes of color in his atmospheric pages. After several other studies, among which pharmacy, he attended the School of Fine Arts in Angoulême. His first published comic work was a 'Histoire de la Rochelle' in 1987 and some pages for La Vie Ouvrière in 1989. At the same time, Mouclier worked for the I.D.D.H. animation studios.

In 1990 he cooperated on the first volume of 'Enfants du Nil', a collective album, published by Delcourt. For the same publisher, Mouclier took on 'Les Remparts d'Écume', a series written by Turf and Frédéric Contremarche. With Contremarche, he subsequently began the series 'Dragons' (1994-95) and 'Sémio' (starting in 1996). In 1997, he was present in the first issue of Bo Doï with 'Le Cadeau d'Anniversaire'. He then created the characters of 'Loulou, Petra et Alysée' for the magazine. Mouclier has additionally developed the 'Polaris' video game for Halloween Concept.
