Peter Murphey studied painting at the Massachusetts College of Art. After a brief stint as a contortionist for Cirque du Soleil, he started a career as an illustrator and cartoonist. Some of the clients he worked for are Star Magazine, Soap Opera Weekly, True News and the Boston Herald. He also worked on the 'Lost in Space' comic book series for Innovation Comics and has done animation work for Olive Jar Studios. His comic strip 'Hippy and Pop' was first syndicated by King Features in January 2002. Murphey also runs a company called Murph Productions, which books caricature artists for parties and conventions.
