Michael H. Musal, who sometimes used the pseudonym Pencil, draws comics for the magazine Yps. He began his career in the mid-1980s with 'Odyssee' (Edition Quasimodo). For Yps, he is the author of such series as 'Cybertoon' and 'Die Zeitzocker' (albums by Ehapa). In 1992, he made 'Die Bokanovsky Erzählungen' with Benno Samuel in the collection Schwermetall (Alpha Comic Verlag). He also works for the German Mad since the late 1990s.
