Journal, by Fabrice Neaud

Born in La Rochelle, Fabrice Neaud studied fine arts until 1991. He is founder member of Ego Comme X, the publishing firm through which he makes his autobiographical series 'Journal'. The first issue of this impressive work appeared in 1996 and won the Alph Art Coup de Coeur 1997. This sincere diary dealt with Neaud's everyday experiences and insecurities, as well as his coming out and relations with other men. Installments have also appeared in the Ego Comme X publications and Bananas.

Neaus has additionally contributed to the collective albums 'Vampires 2' (Ed. Carabas, 2002) and 'Le Monde Diplomatique en Bande Dessinée' (2010), as well as the magazines BAM (Beaux Arts Magazine) and Bang!. Together with Denis Bajram, he produced the artwork of the book 'Trois Christs', that was written by Valérie Mangin and published by Quadrants in 2010. By 2012, Neaud radically changed his style and themes and started the science fiction comic 'Nu-Men' with Soleil Productions.
