Fallen Angels
Matej Nemecek was born in Opava, in the Czech Republic. He graduated from the Theatre Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. His specialization was marionettes and street theater. From 2005 to 2008 he worked in a marionette theater in Budweis, later he was at loose ends. He debuted as comic creator in the magazine Pot in 2001. His first story was called 'John Doe' and it was later published as a book.
Other short comics by Nemecek were printed in the magazines Zkrat, Novy Prostor or Art+Antiques, and the anthologies 'Kontraband' and 'Czekomiks'. He also illustrated Zdenek Jecelín's children's book 'Twins from the Frozen Desert'. His second longer comic story was 'Fallen Angels', but Matej managed to created only its first chapter. He passed away in Planá u Mariánskych Lázní in 2009.
