Peter Pen, by Nick Nichols

Nick Nichols was the creator of the newspaper comic 'The Adventures of Peter Pen', that ran from 1927 to 1938. The feature was syndicated by Associated Editors and mostly appeared on children's activity pages in Sunday papers. Nichols also had a daily cartoon panel called 'Just Supposin' in the Chicago Daily Journal in the mid-1920s. It was later syndicated by Johnson Features and Editors Feature Service until 1933. He succeeded Fred Neher on 'Otto Watt' in 1928-29. He continued to write the feature for the next artist, Paul Sell. Nick Nichols' full name was Byron Davis Nichols. He later worked for radio and television.
