Don Marino y su Submarino (Pulgarcito #14, 1987)
The Spanish humorist Nicolás Martínez Cerezo began his career publishing in the literary graphic magazine La Codorniz in 1975. By 1983 he created the comic strip 'Pepa, Pepe y Pepita' for Semana, and began a collaboration with Bruguera in Barcelona. It was for the magazines of this publishing house, Zipi y Zape, Mortadelo and Pulgarcito, that he created comic series like 'La Gorda de las Galaxias', 'Maladona El Futbolista Chino', 'Don Marino y su Submarino', 'Blanquito', and 'Chiffladuras'.
Nicolás has additionally written several novels since the 1980s, including 'Náufraga Lejana', 'El Fantasma José Enrique', 'Kubelix' and 'Aventuras de un Niño Raro'. He has also worked as a scriptwriter for TVE, partipicated in a Bulgarian almanac and made cartoons for ABC, Amaniaco and La Pulga en Llamas. He is co-founder of La Perdiz with Victor Vadorrey. His work has been collected in books like 'Mermelada y Dinamita' and 'Los Mundos de Nicolás'.
