Black Sheep by Fred Noland

Frederick (Fred) Noland was born in Ventura, California. He made his comic debut in local mini-anthology 'Wood-eye' in 1995, where he published his work until 1998. Among his self-published titles are 'Expanded Zero', 'Full Frontal McSurly' and 'Shpilkes', which has won Noland the prestigious Xeric Grant in 2000.

He returned to the mini format in 2001 producing 'Fellowship' and 'Midnight Creep'. In 2004 he started his ongoing series 'Black Sheep' which features the long-form 'Neighborhood of the Beast'. Among the anthologies he has contributed to are 'Not My Small Diary', 'Legal Action Comics', 'True Porn', 'Henry and Glen' and 'Cringe', among others. His illustrations have appeared in the SF Weekly, LA Weekly, Tennis, Bike, Nickelodeon, Canoe and Kayak, Illinois Times, XboX Magazine, TokyoPop, Santa Fe Reporter and more.
