Titus Traïan Orădean is a Romanian illustrator, philatelist and teacher. In the mid-1940s, he made his first illustrations in the magazines Păcală and Filatelia, while still a student at the Polytechnic of Bucharest. In 1946, he was the first Romanian to draw a comic about philately, humorously chronicling the history of stamps since the early days of man until the year 2000.
After his studies, he became a university professor. He held this profession until 1971, when he became an expert with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization and Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations in several African and Middle Eastern countries.
He has continued to draw on the side ever since. In 2008 his comic 'Le Bal des Intellectuels' from 1942 was finally published in Argonaut.
