Plastelina, by Krzysztof Ostrowski

Krzysztof Ostrowski was born in Lodz, Poland in 1976. He started studying at the Academy of Fine Arts in Lodz, and has become well known as the author of independent, surrealistic comics. He is often inspired by horror, western movies (especially those by Sergio Leone) and general everyday stupidity. His work combines the modern and expressive art with strong influences of Ted McKeever and Mike Mignola. His comics, especially his popular series 'Plastelina' and 'Karaoke', are published in magazines Arena, City and many others.

Ostrowski's comic 'Pantofel Panny Hofmokl' ('Miss Hofmokl's Shoe'), based on a script by Dennis Wojda, won the Grand Prix of Comic Art Festival in Lodz in 2001. Ostrowski, who is also scriptwriter, clothes designer and musician, is the leader of rock band Cool Kids Of Death.
